Hier (in der Eifel) sehe ich vereinzelte kranke B\u00e4ume in einem Wald, der Laien wie mir gesund vorkommt. Dort (im Westerwald) muss man blind und taub sein, um den Zustand des Waldes ignorieren zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schon bei der ersten Wanderung entdeckten wir rund um Mehren ganze Waldst\u00fccke, die sich schaurig-schwarz vom restlichen Wald abhoben. Manch eine Strecke, die wir ins Auge fassten, war wegen Baumf\u00e4llarbeiten gesperrt. Wir genossen die nach den Baumf\u00e4llarbeiten entstehenden Panoramablicke und Rundum-Aussichten. Ich am\u00fcsierte mich \u00fcber die uralten Schautafeln, auf denen die unterschiedlichen Arten von Borkenk\u00e4fern erkl\u00e4rt wurden. Sie unterscheiden sich nicht nur in Gr\u00f6\u00dfe, Form und Aussehen.
